Hermes Email Review Privacy Notice

With the account owner's authorization, the application accesses account identity, message headers, message bodies, conversation history and labels needed for email review. It stores OAuth credentials to maintain the authorized connection. The current review helper identifies attachments but does not extract their contents.

Email data is used to identify requested actions, prepare daily summaries, maintain review continuity and apply authorized promotional-mail handling rules. Content needed for the review is processed using OpenAI model services. Summaries are delivered through Telegram to the owner's private bot conversation. Those providers process information supplied to them under their applicable policies and account settings. This public website does not receive email content or credentials.

OAuth credentials and review records are stored on the owner's Hermes server with restricted file permissions. Review records may contain message content and summaries. Records are retained until the owner removes them; no automatic retention period is currently configured. Access is limited to the owner and systems operating the authorized workflow. Copies supplied to processing and delivery providers are subject to those providers' retention policies and account settings.

Google account data is not sold or used for advertising. The application uses Google data for the authorized review workflow, not to build or train general-purpose AI models. Hermes Email Review's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The owner can revoke the application's authorization in Google Account settings and request removal of stored credentials and review records. Revocation prevents further access through that authorization but does not automatically delete copies already stored. Removing an account requires removing its stored credentials and records from the Hermes server. Telegram summaries can be removed through Telegram's available controls.
